Interview with Lars Hansson, CEO and founder
We are the leading supplier of vehicle warranties to the automotive industry in the Nordic region. But we are also so much more.
Fragus Group was founded as AB Svensk Bilgaranti in 1999 by CEO Lars Hansson, with the aim of becoming the leading supplier within business concepts surrounding warranties directed at the motor industry. Right from the start, the company has experienced extremely strong organic growth virtually every year. We opened our Finnish branch in 2005 and our Norwegian branch in 2007. In 2009, we acquired our industry colleague, Fragus, and in 2019 we acquired the Danish company Omnicar and developed our business in Denmark.
Having managed more than 600,000 vehicle warranties, we have achieved Lars Hansson’s initial aim. But we aren’t stopping there. We are continuing to expand in the Nordic market with an even wider range of services directed at the automotive industry.
A wider range of services to strengthen your business!
While we are a leading supplier of warranty solutions, we are also so much more than that. We provide you with access to a unique digital platform that easily converts your services into ongoing subscriptions at no initial investment cost! Our digital platform – JustGO – enables vehicle dealerships and workshops to easily offer their customers various services in the form of ongoing subscriptions. Since 2018, Fragus has also been approved by the Swedish Transport Agency as an information provider, and we provide access to all online vehicle registration database services.
We work closely with the vehicle market
One of the keys to our success is that from day one we have prioritised working very closely with our partners and their customers in order to identify new needs and adapt accordingly. With our own specialists and a strong network within the automotive industry, we can quickly develop both new standard products and solutions tailored to individual customers.
Head office in Mölndal
In 2014, we moved into our newly constructed office at Alfagatan 10 in Mölndal next to Söderleden and the E6. Our office houses our key activities in IT, development, claims management, marketing, sales, business management and administration. It also provides us with over 1,500 m2 of office space with modern technology and excellent opportunities for both small- and large-scale meetings.
Fragus racing
The company founder, Lasse Hansson, is a big motorsports enthusiast, and in 2020, four cars from Fragus Motorsport competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia. Among the year’s competing drivers were the highly skilled Ted Björck, Pontus Fredriksson and Robin Hansson. Fragus Motorsport is an independent company and does not affect Fragus Group’s core activities.
